Happy 9 Month Birthday Xander!

If you've been watching the blog, you've seen pictures every month on the red couch. Each month we put him in the same spot so we can see the changes over time. This month, it was just a bit more challenging....

Fun on the swingset

This morning it was 67º outside, which is amazing for here and at this time of the year. With 105º days for the last few weeks, it is a very nice break to have some cooler mornings. The kids celebrated by going outside to play on the swings and Xander went with them.

I couldn't get all three to look at the same time. When they all did look, Zach made funny faces. That is par for the course. :-)
I finally got Zach to quit being goofy and give me a good smile...

First day of 1st Grade

Today was the first day of 1st grade for Isabella. She was so excited she came in to our room at 6:20 to start getting ready. I'll be picking her up in a few minutes. I'm looking forward to hearing all about her first day.

Chuck-E-Cheese

On Monday the kids traded in their Daddy dollars that they have earned over the summer for a trip to Chuck-E-Cheese. It takes 200 for a big prize like that, so they pooled their money. It made for a perfect "last day before school starts" outing and they had a lot of fun.

Xander enjoyed it too, though he didn't play any games. He did enjoy his car ride with Chuck.

Isabella and Zach had lots of fun paying air hockey.

Xander has started throwing his head back and smiling a huge smile when he eats something that he really likes. Liza caught it here when he tasted the club crackers.

We all had a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed picking out prizes with the tickets they won at the end of the time.

Having Fun

Sometimes it is the simplest things that make Xander laugh or he really enjoys. This weekend he started pounding on his high chair and Zach joined in with him. He really liked that. He was laughing and having a great time.
